Vandal-proof numeric keypad for AVE Hotel Management

The AVE DOMINA Hotel management system has been enhanced with a new vandal-proof numeric keypad for access control. Equipped with a 13-button numeric keypad with RGB backlighting, it offers advanced access control, with codes that can also be programmed remotely.

Its small size, IP65 protection rating, and IK8 impact resistance make it an extremely versatile product suitable for installation in all conditions. The product is also equipped with a 13.56 MHz MIFARE reader for more convenient opening of the gate using a card or tag.

It’s a very versatile product. It can be installed in various environments: small hotels, manned B&Bs, but it finds its ideal use in unmanned facilities such as holiday homes or guest houses, where the access code to the facility is usually sent to the user by e-mail to confirm the booking. It can also be used for access management in offices and shops, and has various applications in the service sector.

The vandal-proof numeric keypad can operate in two different modes:

• stand-alone mode: the device is equipped with an internal relay that is activated upon recognition of a valid code or when an associated card is approached
• supervised by a web server mode: in this mode, in addition to the complete management of all the home automation functions of an AVEbus system, it’s possible to generate user codes for opening a gate.

The keypad can be integrated into a system where new AVEbus card readers supervised by a web server are present, in order to meet all the needs of accommodation facilities. The configuration of the device is simple and intuitive, supported by the EasyConfig solution for smartphones, which allows you to obtain high quality results.

The AVE numerical keypad offers high security standards for access management: the supervising web server is always listening and only allows the door to be opened if the numerical code entered on the device is valid. The electrical lock contact can be installed either on the keypad, using the output on the keypad itself, or on a remote actuator, further increasing the security level of the facility.

At any time, the hotelier can connect to his system via the free AVE Cloud remote control service, accessible both from the website and from the app, in order to

• Generate or delete numerical codes;
• Consult the event log;
• Manage the automation functions present in the structure.

The system can also be managed through the Wi-Fi touch screen monitors of AVE’s 2-wire and IP video intercom systems, which also allow local response to the video intercom system and remote response via app. Thanks to the AF927 anti-intrusion system, the building can also be effectively protected during periods of closure to prevent break-ins and subsequent inconvenience upon reopening.
